Lines That Divide Us documents the stories of some of the countless millions who've been forced to flee abroad or to the periphery of Myanmar following decades of war between the country's many non-state armed groups and successive military regimes.

Many are displaced ethnic minorities who've been continuously uprooted by these many years of conflict.

Some have left the country and are now languishing in overcrowded Thai refugee camps, while others have joined non-state armed groups.

The most numerous are the 'economic refugees'; unemployment and extreme poverty in their homelands have forced them to seek work in Thailand and China.
