Ashin Wirathu (third from left), one of 5 head monks at Mae Soe Yein monastery in Mandalay, is the most vocal advocator of the ?969? movement that encourages Buddhists to only shop at Buddhist owned shops with stickers to identify them. Wirathu claims there is a growing threat of Muslims trying to convert Myanmarto Islam by marrying with Buddhist women. Not all the head monks at Mae Soe Yein monastery support Wirathu's views on Islam.
