Ashin Wirathu is the most vocal advocator of the 969 movement that encourages Buddhists to only shop at Buddhist owned shops with stickers to identify them. Wirathu claims there is a growing threat of Muslims trying to convert Myanmar to Islam by marrying with Buddhist women. Not all the head monks at Mae Soe Yein monastery support Wirathu's views on Islam.
