Info

Novice monks line up before taking their lunch at Thita Sa Waita Gu monastery where Head Abbott U Kamasara teaches his devotees about the growing threat of Muslims trying to convert the country to Islam. U Kamasara started the monastery, located about 10 km outside of Mandalay, as a small meditation centre. But in the last year it has grown to include several large buildings; another is currently in the works. His devotees, who can become monks in as little as 2 weeks, make regular trips across the country to preach the 969 message.
